The
2008 Grand Parade included the
Shamrock Club
Color Guard Pipes and Drums of Milwaukee, The
Minnesota Police
Pipe Band,
Celtic Nations Pipes & Drums,
and
Tripoli Scottish Highlanders/Lake
Lodge Pipes and Drums. The New London High School band performed,
The
South Shore Drill Team
was here as well as
Ronald McDonald,
and also the
Klement's Racing Sausages.
We again enjoyed various Shriners units and their festive clowns
as well as much much more!
Michael Finnegan's funeral procession was held simultaneously
with the parade. The family was unable to hold it
privately as their $50.00 funeral package didn't include it.
The 2008
Button is on sale at local businesses such as the
Midtown Restaurant and Pup's in Northport.

2008 Royalty Announced - We are proud to announce Ed
(Judd) and Marie Jagoditsch have been chosen as Irish Man and
Irish Rose for 2008. They are very deserving. Mike and Ted
Coppersmith will serve us proudly as Grand Marshalls for the
2008 Grand Parade.

Killaloe" updates.
A delegation went to Killaloe, Ireland
in May of 2007 on behalf of the City of New London that included Larry and
Carrie Katerzynske and Dave Sarna. They met with the
Community Council of Killaloe to further dialogue in regards to
a sister city/town twinning arrangement and toured the area.
